Job Description:

We are looking for people that have a good work ethic and a friendly outgoing attitude. Applicants should have industrial experience in manual assembly using their hands (no tools). Job Description:

APC Filtration is seeking a filter media pleater operator with a flow-through type manufacturing equipment/machinery knowledge. The ideal candidate for this position has 3+ years of experience in the operation of a feed-through machine with strong attention to detail and committed to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

The Jr. Test Lab Technician/ Quality Control will be responsible for assisting with testing air filtration products that meet specific requirements. You will coordinate activities to evaluate and resolve Quality Control issues and responsible to review and maintain knowledge of filter testing and quality procedures in APC’s Quality Control Test Lab. You will also be trained as a back up Product Assembler and assist in filter production and will maintain a high level of safety, housekeeping, productivity and product quality.

  • Perform air-filter fractional efficiency testing as per IEST standards
  • Evaluate finds to formulate a corrective action plan and coordinates implementation of the plan.
  • Perform routine production QC inspections, including “first offs”
  • Assist with the Quality control of all incoming finished products, raw materials and samples and maintaining QC logs.
  • Assist with the inputting and interpretation of the test results and issuing test reports (CoT)
  • Assist with the arranging and maintaining (5S) Quality Control Area.
  • Assist with the preparation of Quality Control forms for samples
  • Assist with issuing, execution and monitoring of CAPA
  • Knowledge of our ISO Quality Control Procedures
  • Follow all safety procedures established by Manufacturing Manager and Health & Safety Committee
  • Maintain 5S Housekeeping Initiatives

Ability to accurately read engineering drawings and blueprints.

Knowledge of using calipers and other measuring devices.

Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand for an eight-hour work shift.

Hands-on with a mechanical aptitude.

Patience for adjusting and fine tuning a constantly flowing process.

  • Set up slitter widths.
  • Feed media through machine and ensure it’s lined up with appropriate rollers.
  • Adjust glue heads for adequate flow. Enter information into machine from set up sheet.
  • Produce a first-off pleat pack for quality inspection.
  • Run production requirements, continually fine tuning the process and conducting quality inspections.
  • Load pleat packs onto skids and move to hold areas.
  • Conduct trouble shooting of the machines to ensure they are optimally functioning to capacity.
  • Clean machines and ensure surrounding area is clean and clear.
  • Build and test new filter designs / prototypes.
